The SPD is offering a $5,000 recruitment bonus for attorney jobs in 5th District

The State Public Defender is looking to hire trial attorneys in Idaho’s 5th, 7th, and 1st Judicial Districts – and first-time state of Idaho employees qualify for a $5,000 recruitment bonus for those jobs!

The SPD is hiring entry-level Trial Attorneys (1-2) to provide zealous holistic representation for indigent clients in the Burley, Twin Falls, Gooding, Jerome, Sandpoint, and Idaho Falls for all types of misdemeanor criminal and delinquency cases, including mental commitment hearings, child protective act cases, specialty court proceedings in magistrate court, appeals to the district court, and other related duties. The annual salary for Trial Attorney (1-2) is $90,000-to-$94,000.

We are hiring Trial Attorneys (3) in the Twin Falls, Burley, and Gooding areas for low-level felony criminal and delinquency cases, including burglary and drug possession cases; child protective act cases; felony specialty court proceedings, and other related duties. The annual salary for Trial Attorney (3) is $102,000.

We’re also hiring Trial Attorneys (4) in the Twin Falls, Gooding, and Sandpoint areas for serious felony, criminal, and delinquency cases; including sexual assault, rape, lewd and lascivious cases, and homicide; as well as representing juveniles being tried in adult court, and other related duties. The annual salary for Trial Attorney (4) is $122,000.
