Governor Moore Announces Expansion of Holly Poultry in Maryland With 140 New Jobs

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Governor Wes Moore today congratulated Holly Poultry, a longtime Maryland-based food company, on its expansion into Anne Arundel County. With its headquarters in Baltimore, the family-owned company has opened a new manufacturing and production facility at 1020 Airport 100 Way in Hanover, where it anticipates creating 140 new full-time jobs over the next four years.

Over the last three decades, Holly Poultry built its foundation through poultry distribution and processing, supplying foodservice, wholesale, and restaurant customers throughout the Mid Atlantic. The Hanover facility marks the next step in that evolution—providing dedicated infrastructure to scale its grocery retail platform, which includes both private-label offerings and proprietary consumer brands including Easy Street® and One Fine Chicken™.
The 80,000-square-foot facility represents a significant expansion of Holly Poultry’s retail business, adding dedicated processing, packaging, and fulfillment capabilities to support its growing presence in grocery stores throughout the region.
“Holly has been building its business in Maryland for generations, and as we enter this next phase, it was important to us to continue building it here,” said CEO of Holly Poultry Zach Fine. “We’re creating new jobs, investing in our people, and bringing the experience we’ve built serving foodservice customers to grocery through private-label programs and our consumer brands One Fine Chicken and Easy Street.”
Holly Poultry’s retail products are currently sold through grocery retailers including ALDI, ShopRite, Giant Food, Harris Teeter, and Safeway, among others. The additional capacity provided in Hanover positions the company to support continued growth with existing partners while expanding into new markets.
To assist with project costs, the company is eligible for a $750,000 conditional loan through Advantage Maryland as well as a $50,000 grant through the Partnership for Workforce Quality program, both administered by the Maryland Department of Commerce. Additionally, the company is eligible for a $75,000 conditional loan from the Anne Arundel County Economic Development Corporation.
