Fort Knox Career Summit Connects Military Community With Employment Opportunities

FORT KNOX, Ky. — More than 120 military-affiliated personnel in and around Fort Knox participated in the 2026 Fort Knox Career Summit Sept. 22.

Whether as transitioning Soldiers, veterans or family members, many of the job seekers took advantage of the morning counseling and resources session as well as the afternoon job fair. The entire summit kicked off with words of encouragement by Lt. Gen. Johnny Davis, commanding general of U.S. Army Recruiting Command.

“Transition is a big decision. All of us will face it to include myself,” said Davis. “Never underestimate your value to employers.”

Davis told the morning crowd to seek advice and assistance along the way and take time to network. He also encouraged them to reach out to him if they need assistance.

After lunch, attendees shifted over to the Saber & Quill, many with resumes in hand, to seek employment opportunities among over 30 companies, service providers and government agencies.
